Kuwait Mobile ID is a secure mobile-based Digital ID derived from the Civil ID. It is capable of identity verification, authentication to online e-services, and applying trusted digital signature to documents and transaction.

Install Kuwait Mobile ID from the App Store in case of iOS or from the Play Store in case of Android.

  • Self-enrollment through the application (currently available).
    Note: only ID verification and medium level authentication will be available through this enrollment channel. Signing services and strong level authentication will not be supported in this option, it will be available only through our other channels i.e. (Self-service kiosk and enrollment at PACI service centers).
  • Enrollment though MID self-service kiosks distributed by PACI (currently available).

Various service providers (SPs) including government agencies, oil sector companies, banks, private companies, and others will integrate their e-services with the Mobile ID service to provide more safe and secure e-Service.

    Title: your issue (ex: problem during enrollment)
    Body: mention your CID number, your mobile number and the problem description.

Check the entered data again and if it’s correct, then you have to validate your data with MOI.

To enable digital signature, you have to visit one of PACI Mobile ID self-service kiosks and do the needed steps in front of the kiosk.

No, you can’t get your Mobile ID in the Kuwait Mobile ID App. you have to wait till you receive your civil ID to register in the App using its serial number.

You should immediately contact the MID support team through the following support channels to revoke your identity:

  1. Email the support team on: MIDSupport@PACI.gov.kw including
    Title: your issue (ex: stolen phone-revoke identity)
    Body: mention your CID number, your mobile number and the problem description.
  2. If an additional phone is available, you simply can download the app and register again. This will automatically remove your previously issued ID without any further efforts.

It can be done by one of the three following ways:

  • Using “cancel identity” option in the application.
  • Using the MID self-service kiosk distributed by PACI.
  • Visiting one of PACI Service centers which provides the MID service.

No. Your Mobile ID can be issued on only one mobile device at a time.

No. for each smart phone, only one MID can be issued.

You need to revoke your MID on your old phone first. Then you can request a new MID through the different previously mentioned enrollment channels.

The service is currently available for all the citizens and residents with smart cards over the age of 5 years. Soon, PACI will announce the procedure for under 5 years.

No, the MID service is currently available for only citizens and residents with smart Civil IDs over the age of 5 years. PACI will soon announce the procedure for article 20 residency holders.

The service is currently available for the following categories:

  • All citizens and residents having smart cards over the age of 5 and under the age of 18 with expired CIDs and paid renewal requests. Note: if this category have a valid CID, they will not be able to issue Mobile ID.
  • All citizens and residents having smart cards over the age of 18.
  • PACI will announce the procedure for under 5 years (later).

Yes, Mobile ID services can be used abroad.

Mainly, the ID verification service is ready to be used in a wide range though the QR code provided in the application.
Furthermore, different services (including authentication and digital signing) from the government and banks will be launched soon.

Yes. You can use your MID on your smart phone as a digital identity that could replace the physical CID. It’s a legal identity that issued and accredited by PACI.

No. It is totally prohibited to share your smart phone that holds the MID with any other person by any means.

You should never share your MID PIN with any other person. Always remember that you are fully responsible for any usage of your mobile ID.

It’s your responsibility to protect your MID on your phone from being stolen or misused. Meanwhile it’s PACI’s responsibility to protect your MID application and backend from frauds and unsecure channels during the MID usage.

Yes. You can change your PIN through your Kuwait Mobile ID App.

  • If you enrolled your Mobile ID using Kiosk or service center, please visit the nearest one to unlock you PIN.
  • If you enrolled your Mobile ID using online registration, please remove the app from your mobile and reinstall it, then register again to recover your Mobile ID.

Kuwait MID currently supports the following versions:

  • Android: 8,9 and 10. (Android 7 is no longer supported).
  • iOS: 11,12,13 and 14”.

The renewal or updating the Mobile ID data can currently be done by canceling the current identity and re-enrolling again.

  • If your civil ID expired and you didn’t renew it, kindly renew your civil ID, then cancel your Mobile ID and register again to recover your Mobile ID.
  • If you already renewed your civil ID, kindly cancel your Mobile ID and register again to recover your Mobile ID.

  • You have to validate and correct your data in MOI, then you have to issue a new civil ID and pay the 5KD fee.
  • After that you have to cancel your Mobile ID and register again to get your Mobile ID with the updated data.
